Gratitude Jar

Have you started your Gratitude Jar for 2013?

I don't know who originally started this idea but what a great idea to write down what you are grateful for and I am not talking about the big things but the small things that sometimes we forget and what a great reminder it will be to recall 12 months later.

This pic on Facebook....

I started my Gratitude Jar using a Jacobs coffee jar and went 1 step further to decorate it with clear 'Thank You' stickers and went a bit overboard and did all 4 sides. Just makes all the difference....don't you think?
I decided to include my 'To Do List' for 2013 and for now it's very short with only 4 entries and happy to say 1 is ticked off already. It's been on my 'To Do List' forever and a day and not my choice but my circumstances and although it took forever to happen....I am happy I can tick it off.

I encourage you to start your own Gratitude Jar (or whatever you wish to call it) and if it is everyday, once a week or once a month you fill the jar....so be it.

Baby steps....

Last year I kept a diary - just of daily doings. There were big gaps where I got lazy and didnt write for weeks at a time but mostly I kept it up. on the 31 Dec I went thru it and wrote down the things that stood out as Hi-lites of 2012 - I couldnt believe how long my list of hi-lites was! 2012 was a good year for me! I wouldnt have remembered half the things if I hadnt written them down!
this jar is an easier way of doing it tho.
